LOHAS LED Night Light Review: A Few Things Surprised Me

There’s a very specific kind of walk I think most people know: getting out of bed at 2 a.m., half awake, trying to make it to the bathroom without turning on a light bright enough to convince your brain that morning has arrived.
I don't need much light for that. I just need enough to see where I'm going.
That's what I ended up liking most about the LOHAS LED Night Light. I've been using it around the house to see whether it's genuinely useful or just another little gadget taking up an outlet.
Here's what stood out.
Quick Take
Light | 3000K soft white |
Brightness | Adjustable from 0–100 lumens |
Control | Physical dimmer dial |
Sensor | Automatic dusk-to-dawn |
Setup | Plug directly into a standard outlet |
Pack | 2 lights |
Best for | Hallways, bathrooms, bedrooms and kids' rooms |
The Brightness Dial Makes More Difference Than I Expected
The dial lets you adjust the light anywhere from barely visible to 100 lumens. That range is what makes the LOHAS useful in more than one room.
I can keep it very low when I only need enough light to find my way down a hallway, then turn it up somewhere darker where I actually want to see the room around me. There's no clicking between preset levels either. I can just turn the dial until the brightness feels right.
And because the light is 3000K soft white, it has a warmer glow that feels much more appropriate at night than a harsh cool-white light.
It's a small feature, but it's also the reason I'd pick this over a cheaper night light with one fixed brightness.
Once It's Set, I Don't Really Think About It
This is the other thing I appreciate about the LOHAS. There's a built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor, so it automatically comes on as the room gets dark and switches itself off when there's enough light again.
I set the brightness once and mostly leave it alone.
No app. No hub. No charging.
I'm not convinced my night light needs Wi-Fi.
Plug it in, turn the dial, and that's basically the entire setup.
What I Like and What I Don't
What I Like | What I Don't Love |
Brightness adjusts from 0–100 lumens | Plastic feels less premium up close |
Warm 3000K light works well at night | Not intended for reading or task lighting |
Automatically turns on and off | No smart controls if you want them |
No app, hub or setup | |
Comes in a practical two-pack |
It Looks Better on the Wall Than in Your Hand
I actually like the way these look once they're plugged in. The black cylindrical design is a lot cleaner than the typical white plastic night light, and the warm light against the wall makes it feel more like a small fixture than a utility plug.
Just don't expect premium materials. Up close, the plastic construction gives away the fact that this is still a budget night light. It's not something I'd buy as a decorative object to admire on a bedside table.
But mounted low on a hallway or bathroom wall?
I notice the light much more than the plastic.
And for this particular product, I think that's what matters.
Is the LOHAS LED Night Light Right for You?
You'll probably like it if you:
Want enough light for those middle-of-the-night trips without switching on the main lights.
Hate night lights that are either too bright or too dim.
Prefer a warm glow rather than harsh white light.
Want something that turns itself on and off automatically.
Like simple products you can set once and forget about.
You might want to skip it if you:
Want premium materials and finish.
Need enough light for reading or other tasks.
Want app controls, timers or smart-home features.
I don't think a night light needs a long list of features to be good.
It just needs to come on when I need it and give me the right amount of light.
That's where the LOHAS gets it right. The adjustable brightness solves the one problem that annoys me most about basic night lights, while the automatic sensor means I barely have to think about it afterward.
For a hallway, bathroom or bedroom, that's pretty much exactly what I want from one.
